The Demo is the public evaluation environment of basebox. It has exactly one purpose: to try basebox before a production environment is ordered or provisioned.
What the Demo is
- An evaluation environment operated by basebox with the full feature set of the interface
- A place to get to know chat, apps, documents and connectors with example data
- The fastest way to get a feel for basebox
What the Demo is not
Not a production system
The Demo is not a production environment. Do not process real personal, patient or social data there, nor confidential documents of your organization. Use fictional or public example data.
The Demo is a setup of its own: the platform runs at Hetzner, the language model is Claude via Google Vertex AI. Cloud and Server, by contrast, use a model that runs locally on the server. Answers in the Demo may therefore differ in quality and style from those in your later environment. Statements about the Demo infrastructure apply to the Demo only and cannot be transferred to basebox Cloud or basebox Server. Anyone evaluating a production environment should therefore not infer its architecture from the Demo, but read the pages on Cloud or Server.
