What are Chat and Apps in basebox?

Chat is your direct conversation partner with the AI – like an intelligent assistant you can talk to right away. You ask a question, the AI answers.

Apps are specialized AI tools that you can configure for specific tasks. Think of apps as tailor-made assistants for particular areas – for example a "Contract Analyzer," "Meeting Summarizer," or the "manual for a device."

When do I use which?

Use Chat for:

  • One-off questions – "What does this contract say?"
  • Quick document analysis – Upload a PDF and ask questions about it
  • Spontaneous research – "Explain concept XY to me"
  • Experimenting – Trying out different prompts

Use Apps for:

  • Recurring tasks – The same type of analysis every month
  • Team workflows – Colleagues can use the same app
  • Structured processes – Fixed workflows with multiple steps
  • Large documents – Complex analyses with specialized settings
