Generating Documents
In brief
basebox generates Office documents directly: Word, Excel and PowerPoint. You describe in the chat what you need and receive the finished document as a file to download – no need to move the content into another program by hand.
What do I use this for
Whenever the end result should not be text in the chat but a file you can file away, pass on or keep working on:
- Reports and analyses as a Word document
- Tables and figures as an Excel file
- Presentations as a PowerPoint deck
The detour via copy and paste is no longer necessary wherever you need a complete document anyway.
Where do I find it
In the normal chat. You need neither a special app nor a special mode, and there is nothing to switch on – the feature is available at any time.
Step by step
- Open a chat – a new one or one already running, both work.
- Make your request – state which file format you want and what the document should contain. For example: "Erstelle mir ein Word-Dokument mit einer Zusammenfassung der wichtigsten Punkte aus dem Protokoll." (Create a Word document with a summary of the key points from the minutes.)
- Wait for the result – basebox generates the document.
- Download the document – the finished document is offered for download in the chat.
Name the format explicitly
State the format you want directly in the prompt – "as a Word document", "as an Excel file", "as a PowerPoint presentation". The more precisely you also describe the structure (headings, order, columns), the less you have to rework afterwards.
Notes
When you don't need a whole document
Individual code blocks and tables still have their own copy and download buttons right on the answer. That is the quicker route when you only want to move an excerpt into an existing document. All other content can be copied and pasted from the answer as usual.
