Administrator
You configure basebox as an application for your organisation: users, groups, models, apps, connectors, audit. Your area is Administration – infrastructure is not part of it.

How this role differs from the others
Administrator ≠ Platform Operator. You work in the basebox interface. The Platform Operator works on the server and is responsible for the operating system, GPU, Kubernetes and inference. In basebox Cloud you are the only role on the customer side – basebox handles operations. On basebox Server both roles exist; the Platform Operator is your IT or, if commissioned, basebox.
Administrator ≠ Developer. You issue API keys; how the API is used belongs to the Developer / Integrator.

Three rules that save trouble
- Never remove the last administrator. Create a second person with the admin role from the start.
- Enable connectors deliberately. An enabled connector is available to all users; web search additionally only in apps where it is allowed. Read the Introduction to web search security before enabling it.
- Review sharing regularly. Who still has access, which roles are current, which apps are visible organisation-wide.
