Model Selection
In brief
As an administrator you choose which AI model basebox uses in your organization. The selection is available for cloud installations as well as for on-premises installations.
What do I use this for
Models differ in their characteristics – in speed, cost and capabilities, for example. Model selection lets you decide which trade-off suits your organization instead of being tied to a fixed default.
Where do I find the setting
You will find the setting in your organization's administration area.
Step by step
- Open the administration area.
- Select the model you want.
- Save the setting.

Individual apps can deviate from the organization-wide model: the app editor has a Modell (model) field under Erweiterte Felder (advanced fields), preset to „Standard verwenden" (use default). Entering a specific model there fixes it for that app. See Creating a new app.
Frequently asked questions
Does model selection apply to on-premises installations as well? Yes. The selection is available for cloud and on-premises installations alike.
Can individual apps use a different model? Yes. In the app editor a specific model can be set per app under Erweiterte Felder, instead of leaving the „Standard verwenden" default in place.
