What happens to your data in basebox?

When you use basebox, various types of data are generated. As a user, you have full control over this information and should understand what is stored and where.

Important to know: basebox was built with privacy as a core focus – your data stays under your control.

What is stored

basebox uses the following data in chat:

  • Your inputs (prompts) and the AI's responses
  • Uploaded files (temporarily, during use)
  • Chat titles and timestamps

Where data is stored

Your data is stored locally in your browser and is not permanently kept on servers.

  • No synchronization between devices
  • Each browser stores data separately

Deleting data

Here's how to delete your chat history:

Delete a single chat:

  1. Open the chat you want to delete
  2. Click the trash can icon
  3. Confirm the deletion

Delete all chats:

  1. Open your basebox
  2. Delete your browser data

Note

Deleting your browser data removes all locally stored chats, and they cannot be recovered.

Privacy and security

What basebox does NOT do

  • No sharing – Your data is not given to third parties
  • No training – Your conversations are not used for AI training
  • No analysis – We do not read your private conversations

  • Full control – You decide what happens to your data
  • Delete anytime – No restrictions on data management
  • Transparency – Clear information about how data is used

Frequently asked questions

Can I sync my chats between devices? Not automatically at the moment. You can manually transfer important content.

What happens if I switch browsers? Your chats won't be available in the new browser, since they're stored locally.

Is my data used for AI training? No, basebox does not use your personal conversations to train AI models.

Can basebox recover my deleted data? No, since most data is stored locally, we cannot recover it.
