basebox receives security updates until at least 3 October 2030: five years from the first release, as the Cyber Resilience Act (Art. 13(8)) requires.

Updates come with the current version
Security fixes ship only in the current version of basebox, separately from new features where feasible. Older versions get no fixes of their own. Upgrading every installation to the current version is part of support, including a change of major version, such as from 1.x to 2.x.
The cloud always runs the current version. For a basebox Server we deliver every upgrade and help install it.
