Sources & Citations

Brief description

Answers that draw on your own documents now name those documents. Clicking a source opens the document itself. The chat also shows how much of the knowledge base was searched and how well each source matches the question.

What is this used for

It lets you understand what an answer is based on, verify the statements, and jump straight to the source passage.

Where to find the sources

The sources appear with the respective answer.

Step by step

  1. Ask a question in an app with a connected knowledge base.
  2. Review the sources listed below the answer.
  3. Click a source to open the corresponding document.
  4. Check the coverage and match indicator to gauge how thoroughly the search was performed.

Notes

Note

  • All files in a knowledge base are searched, not just the first matches.
  • Citations work in all interface languages.
